Requirements

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by and registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
FCPS, M.D, MRCP Psychiatry or Diplomat American Board or equivalent qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
Alternatively the same post-graduate qualification in Psychiatry with one year experience after post-graduation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in a recognized institution

Details: No experience is required with the post-graduate qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; the alternative route requires one year experience after post-graduation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in an institution recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Conditions of experience: only practical experience in a recognized institution issued by the appointing authority or PMDC/PMC after the prescribed qualification is considered, supported by appointment letters, notifications or office orders. Government sector contract, current charge, acting charge and ad-hoc experience is accepted if issued by the appointing/competent authority or PMDC/PMC. OPS/designated (up to 17.06.2021 only), BOM, TTS and university cadre experience is considered only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC. Foreign, autonomous body and private institution experience is accepted only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC.
