Requirements

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the PMDC
Registered with the PMDC
FCPS, M.S, FRCS or Diplomat American Board in Paediatric Neuro Surgery or equivalent qualification recognized by the PMDC
Alternatively the same post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Surgery or General Surgery, or in Neuro Surgery, with one year experience after post-graduation in Paediatric Neuro Surgery in a PMDC recognized institution

Details: No experience is required with the post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Neuro Surgery; alternative routes require one year experience after post-graduation in Paediatric Neuro Surgery in an institution recognized by the PMDC. Conditions of experience: only practical experience in a recognized institution issued by the appointing authority or PMDC/PMC after the prescribed qualification is considered, supported by appointment letters, notifications or office orders. Government sector contract, current charge, acting charge and ad-hoc experience is accepted if issued by the appointing/competent authority or PMDC/PMC. OPS/designated (up to 17.06.2021 only), BOM, TTS and university cadre experience is considered only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC. Foreign, autonomous body and private institution experience is accepted only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC.
